Release date: April 27 2010

Following through on 2008’s devastating one-two punch (January’s Tintype & August’s Funeral Mixtape), we kill computers is the Pack a.d.’s third album and it marks a bold departure away from the blues and headfirst into straight up garage rock/pop/punk. Recorded live off the floor to analog tape at Hive Studios in Vancouver by Jesse Gander (Japandroids, Bison b.c.) and then mastered at GhettoRecorders in Detroit by Jim Diamond (Dirtbombs, Detroit Cobras), we kill computers is a rapid fire assault of 13 heavy, heavy songs.

When The Pack a.d. plays a show they hand the audience their guts - and they did just, 157 times in 2009 alone. That’s why we kill computers, a full year in the making, captures that same live energy – fierce, unapologetic, and loud as hell. Lyrically, The Pack a.d. offers up their general mistrust of humans and their motives, while tipping off that animals have got it right. Sonically charged and relentless, The Pack a.d. don’t play a song so much as attack it - and we kill computers is them coming at you at a run.

Fall Tour Announced today…

The Pack A.D.

Touring with the Pink Mountaintops and Nomeansno

The Pack A.D. have been touring non-stop this year, and their old-school approach of winning fans over one by one with their explosive live shows is paying off. They’ve won over some new fans in the Pink Mountaintops and Nomeansno. Both the Pink Mountaintops and Nomeansno have invited the Pack A.D. to tour with them. So, Maya and Becky are resting for a few weeks before they gear up for another busy fall tour.

First, they will be heading over to the UK for the End of the Road Festival, as well as a couple of shows in London - one of them for hip new zine, Riot On The Rocks. Then they jet straight home to hit the road with the Pink Mountaintops from Sept 18th - 27th. After a brief trip to Montreal for the PopMontreal Festival they head back out on the with their new pals Nomeansno (Oct 7th-14th). But the fun doesn’t end there… they’ve been invited back for the 2nd year in a row, to play the Blues DC Festival in Bogota Colombia. After that, they’ll be flying off to the Halifax Pop Explosion and CMJ Music Marathon, before finishing off the fall with three weeks of solo dates in both the US and Canada.

The Pack A.D. are going to play some music and have some drinks - so all you have to do is show up and bring your friends!

Be sure to check out their amazing new video for “Blackout” where they team up with Grant Lawrence and the CBC Radio 3 crew for a late night dance party! Watch it here.
